The magnificent buck stepped into a late afternoon ray of light and paused. Carl fired off several shots quickly before the buck moved on to follow a doe he had been after since early morning.

Film has a difficult time handling the contrast. As the buck walked into the last ray of the sun, Carl spot metered the highlight letting the shadows go black.
